1st Annual MCBG End of Summer BBQ
When our coupe did not arrive in time for the final Bimmer Burger Night of the summer, my amazing wife suggested we should just host our own BBQ to introduce our coupe to the world. Our coupe came at kind of a busy point in our lives, so we sent out the invites the day before. Amazingly we were able to find a few takers on such short notice. We then thought, “We should do this every year and make it an annual thing.” Hence it became the 1st Annual M Coupe Buyers Guide End of Summer BBQ. We had so much fun, we may need to institute a Fall BBQ, Spring BBQ, Beginning of Summer BBQ, and Mid-Summer BBQ.
Our attendees included Glenn with his 2002 Steel Gray over Imola Red sunroof-delete M Coupe with only 7,000 miles, Lindsey with his 2000 Cosmos Black over Dark Gray sunroof-delete M Coupe, and Colby with his 2002 Alpine White over Imola Red M Roadster. My little sister Lindsay also stopped by to hang out, see my coupe, and take some photos. I’m not sure why they say sunroof-deletes are so rare; I was the only one there with a sunroof :). Next time, we’ll try to plan ahead a little better so some others will be able to make it.
My driveway became something out of an Z3 M lover’s fantasy. We all stood in the street and giggled at the sight. Colby brought his very nice camera and the results are below:
Let me know if you’d like a higher resolution version of any of the photos.
Looks like an awesome time, wish I lived closer. I guess I need to see what events are going on in my area. What kind of a watch is that in the the picture of the beer closeup??
Yes, your wife is amazing 🙂 This was a ton of fun… looking forward to the next ones! I think we need even more of a presence next time though… maybe our whole block! 🙂 So, come on people!
