Market Update – June 18, 2010
This week’s overview of what’s happened in the M Coupe market.
Currently Listed: 78 S50: 1 S52: 53 S54: 24 |
Average Asking Price: $23,526.33 S50: $23,000 S52: $19,347.85 S54: $32,927.92 |
There are more M Coupes for sale right now than I ever thought I would see at any one time. If you’re a buyer, it’s a great time to be in the market as there is a lot of selection. As a seller, you may need to consider adjusting your price or do something else to make your car stand out from the large crowd. Coupe buyers seem to be unwilling to pay the $10k premium for S54 cars any longer and most of the cars priced over $30k have not had much success in recent months.

Best Deals
These are what I think are the best deals still available that are not already on the most popular list. If you’re looking for a well priced imola red M Coupe, head to Washington, DC.

This is starting to look like the S54 M Coupe bubble from summer 2004 or 2005. Prices went back up to the mid-30K’s because it seemed everyone in LA wanted one. Once that demand was met prices had a soft landing back into the high $20K’s.
I think it is very telling that the S54 M Coupe in the bay area for $25K is still available.
