Seller Description

1999 BMW M-coupe Well maintained, unique and collectable drivers car. The car is dark green (Boston Green) and tan leather interior, all original except for a couple minor upgrades like daytime running lights and interval wipers and the addition of a mini spare and jack ($700 upgrade)

The car has been well cared for and has no issues. Everything is in good working order, including heated seats and Harmen Karden 9 speaker sound system and cd changer. The car has 99K miles and the only major maintenance item needed to date was a clutch, done 1 year or 3K miles ago (all OEM Sachs parts). Tires are good and the car drives perfectly. As I said, a real drivers car with lots of feel and plenty of power. Very predictable performance in a package you can drive every day.

Extras:
Service manual
Peak1 Diagnostic code reader tool
Spare matching rear wheel and tire
Car cover

The price is 15K firm or trade for a VW Syncro van, Westfalia, Vanagon of the same value

About the ///Mcoupe:
The ///Mcoupe was only produced for 4 years and only roughly 2500 ///Mcoupes were made for both Europe and the US during those 4 years. The car is instantly collectable and a very solid performance package while being built on proven technology and obtainable parts like BMW’s bomb-proof S52 3.2 liter straight 6 and VANOS (electronic variable valve timing) combined with the legendary ZF five-speed manual gearbox. The car is 12 years old and still turns head and looks current. Signs or a true classic in the making.

My Comments

Sold 4/13/11 - Sold to Linda back in April. Congrats on finding a very cool color!

4/4/11 Update - Added interior and included accessories photos

3/27/11 Update - This one is out of purgatory after almost 9 months and back on the market with 99,000 miles and a price of $15,000 (or trade for a VW Vanagon Syncro?).

7/21/10 Update - Relisted with price drop to $14,000 from $16,000 making it a pretty good deal.

6/28/10 Update - Relisted with price drop to $16,000 from $18,000. Value rating adjusted.

6/2/10 Update - New Craigslist listing with new photos added.

No way to tell the condition or even if it's sunroof delete without photos. It sounds like it's been well taken care of by an owner who knows how special the car is. The minor upgrades are nice and maintenance appears to be current. The price is a little high for the mileage and the seller says the price is firm. It will have to be in very good condition to sell for that. I'll adjust my ratings when I see photos.
