Seller Description

Year/Model 2002 M Coupe

Exterior Color Titanium Silver
Interior Color Black Leather
Transmission 5 Speed Manual
Mileage 53,875
Price $23,500

I purchased this car in Arizona in 08/2004. Since than it has been kept in California and always garaged. The stock M Couple does not have a very good suspension so I replaced it with a TC Kline suspension (details below) and had the engine swapped out by BMW at 30,240 miles. Other than the suspension and harness, the car is completely stock. I took it to a few track days with the BMW CCA and the setup is perfect. This car has been very well taken care of and maintained. It is ideally set up for spirited blasts through the canyons or the occasional track day. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. All maintenance records available.

2002 M Coupe -- 53,875 miles, S54 Engine (23,635 miles on BMW replaced motor 10/2004 due to early S54 known motor issues), 315 HP, Power Sunroof, Titanium Silver, Black interior, BMW/Harman Kardon Premium Stereo, Toyo R1 tires on stock wheels, TC Kline adjustable coil over suspension, TC Kline adjustable front wheel camber plates, TC Kline adjustable sway bars, Koni double adjustable shock absorbers, Differential reinforcement, Stainless steel brake lines, Sparco seat harness and mounting bar, oversized gas pedal and Wiechers front strut bar.

My Comments

Sold 2/26/12 - Sounds like it is headed to Arizona. Congrats to Darren!

2/15/12 Update - Still $23,500 on the renewed Craigslist ad

2/14/12 Update - Now relisted on Roadfly for $24,100 up from $23,500

2/5/12 Update - I added some better photos too. Looks pretty good.

2/4/12 Update - An inspection report for this coupe. I think most of these things would be typical of a lot of the coupes on the market.

I had the car inspected at Bavarian Professionals in Berkeley and they gave it a thumbs up but said that the tires need to be replaced (front down to wear bars, rears 80% worn), the Inspection 1 needed to be done, and the brake fluid needed to be replaced.

This S54 has just about everything you could want from a stock-ish coupe. Differential reinforcement: check (does not specify how it was done). Rod bearing/engine replacement: check. TC Kline coilovers: check. The color combo is pretty common and thae harness bar is not very exciting to me personally, but other than that it looks like it has been well cared for and is well-priced too.
