Seller Description

i'm reluctantly offering up my 01 mcoupe for well below market average (can provide data) as i could use the xtra $ more than this gem i seldom drive (2k miles in 6mos!), only 78k orig mi total!

clean title, all books, some records- most recent incl clutch kit, insp service, bilstein rear shocks/solid mounts, pads and drilled rotors, etc! alarm/keyless, indash cd, m mats, leatherz center armrest, clear markers, zhp style oem chrome knob, SSR GT3 forged 3pc staggered 19" wheels, 19x8.5, 19x10, 2 new tires, h&r spacers, dinan strut bar, no issues, fast, tight, absolute blast to drive! one nickel sized ding on hood is biggest (almost only) cosmetic flaw. i do not have orig wheels (i have 2 fronts need refinishing, but no rears, but can lead u to them if dealbreaker!). price pretty firm (find me a better deal/value for an s54 coupe and i'll listen). might consider part BMW trade, but prefer cash sale... thanks!

My Comments

Sold 2/9/12 - I heard this coupe did sell and is headed to Texas.

1/20/12 Update - Listing updated and price raised to $22,700 from $21,500

12/21/11 Update - Just figured out that this is the Hawaiian coupe that sold this summer. A PPI was done on this coupe yesterday and here are the results:

Clutch is worn, may need to be replaced soon
Car has been in a accident in May 2007 and has had body work/repainting
Power steering is leaking
Transmission is leaking
Front control arm bushings are cracked
RF strut is leaking
All four tires are due; fronts @2MM, rears @7mm but have severe sidewall cracks
Belts are cracked
Coolant hoses are dry and may need to be replaced soon
Right dome light bulb is out
Battery is aftermarket and acid drain is not routed properly
Strut towers are slightly punched upward
Diff mounts are starting to crack
All four wheels have minor bends
Coolant is aftermarket and should be flushed
Brake fluid should be flushed

Most of the issues are pretty simple to address but the strut towers and diff mounts are pretty big concerns. It's not a coupe I'd feel comfortable buying then driving home, but if you can do some of the maintenance work yourself, it's not a bad deal still.

This is a pretty good deal for a steel gray coupe. The seller's recent maintenance and upgrades are nice. I really like the SSR GT3 wheels. The hood dent is unfortunate, but other than that it looks like one you could drive for a while with no major issues. I'm not completely sure, but I think it's probably the same seller as this one.
