Seller Description

2000 BMW M Coupe, Imola / Oregon, 158k miles, $13,500 OBO

I'm in the Los Angeles area. For sale by owner, clean and clear title. Non smoker, no pets. No trades, no solicitations. I might be able to deliver by driving it, if you're within a day or two drive.

Yes, mileage is high at 158k miles. The undercarraige is dry (no leaks) and it has no rust. I have detailed pictures I'm happy to send you.

Yes, I'm accepting offers on my asking price of $13,500. No, this is not a fire sale. I purchased a 2011 in early March (4-seater) and she's no longer my DD. Yes, I know I'm asking more than KBB or Edmunds book value. However, feel free to offer opinions on price. This is as much of a feeler as a for sale ad.

Features: heated seats, moonroof, aftermarket CD player and speakers, H&R lowering springs with KYB adjustable shocks.

Detractors: a few touch-ups exterior paint, one ding, does NOT come with factory keyless (that was an option), does not have the stock factory subwoofer, front lower spoiler shows typical wear close to the ground.

Recent Maintenance completed (past year), most recent first
1. New tires all around + alignment / balance, March
2. New subframe bushings (OE), February
3. New rear inner CV boot kits, February
4. Nea rear shock mounts, February
5. Rear oxygen sensors, February

My Comments

Sold 4/29/12 - Sold way back on April 29th. I'm a couple weeks late.

4/18/12 Update - Surprisingly no takers on Ebay at $12,700

4/13/12 Update - Price dropped to $12,700 from $13,500

4/10/12 Update - Now listed on Bimmerforums and Bimmerfest with an updated description.

3/22/12 Update - No takers on Ebay at $14,500

3/17/12 Update - Back on Craigslist at $13,500

3/1/12 Update - Now on Ebay too with an updated description and a ton of photos. Any flaws a very well documented.

2/23/12 Update - Must not have sold. Relisted still at $13,500 which is fair. The recent maintenance is a plus.

Sold 1/12/12 - Listing was deleted, so I assume it sold.

1/1/12 Update - Back on the market still at $13,500 and 1k more miles. Posted a couple new photos too.

First of all, I'm incredibly impressed by the great condition of his driver seat bolster with 157,000 miles. It does look to be in surprisingly good shape. If the aesthetics have been so well taken care of, it's a pretty good bet the maintenance has been taken care of as well. I think the price is pretty good considering the good condition.
