10/16/11 Update - A note from the seller:

I just wanted to let you know that this coupe was never salvaged. The photos you have are just from the insurance auction where it was sold. In the photos you can clearly see that the insurance company took apart the rear to see the damage, they even cut apart the hatch. This website (www.salvagedb.com) shows you all damaged vehicles but that does not mean that are salvage. Anyway this was not considered a salvage vehicle and it only had $2800 worth in damage and thats including parts and labor. And the carfax is clear.

Some of you will recognize this as the coupe that was for sale a few months ago and got rear ended. Apparently it didn't receive a salvage title according to AutoCheck. I would probably double check with Carfax though because John pointed out to me that it shows up on salvagedb.com: www.salvagedb.com/search?q=WBSCN93491LK60181&srch=Search. It looks like it was put back together very nicely. The Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement is obviously a very big plus. The owner previous to this did a lot of good maintenance and reconditioned the interior. He also found out from the dealer that the rod bearings were replaced under warranty at some point. It also looks to have hypersilver roadstars rather than chrome shadow ones. If you can live with knowing it has an accident in it's past, this is probably a pretty good deal for you.
