My Comments

10/5/10 Update - It appears this coupe finally found a new owner. No idea on sale price.

7/28/10 Update - A forum member inquired about the repaint and got this for a response:

The vehicle was purchased new by the first owner (now deceased) and is part of an estate liquidation sale. She was the only one to drive it (her partner cannot drive a stickshift) and took meticulous care of it.

Since all her BMWs were black, naturally she wanted a black one, but a 2002 model w/the S54 engine (she knew here Beemers) was nowhere to be found, so she settled for a silver one. At 22,000 miles she could stand it no longer and elected to repaint the car black at a cost of over $7,500 and remained in the shop for 4 months to be stripped almost to the shell. However, the job was very meticulous because I cannot find silver anywhere - not under the hood, on the wheel wells, door jambs or rear hatch. In fact, all the advisory decals and warning placards are still in place.

When she got sick vehicle maintenance was not a priority, but it sure was when she was well. I have all the receipts from the local BMW dealership (available upon request) and if I was to buy the car, I would buff the exterior and she'll be rocking.

5/31/10 Update - It looks like the seller removed the Hamann front splitter and side skirts. I think it's probably a good move. New photos too.

This car was originally Titanium Silver (still 1 of only 25) and has had a full repaint making it the only black coupe with Estoril Blue interior (2 were made with Laguna Seca Blue interiors). It has some pricey upgrades including Ansa exhaust, Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake, and Hamann front splitter and ground effects. Being one owner and having all the maintenance records is a huge plus. The sellers lack of knowledge of the engine's exact horsepower is a minor flag, many may not like the interior color, and some are not fans of the Hamann body pieces. It does bother me that the seller, being the original owner, does not even mention the repaint. Overall though, I'm surprised this car has been on the market as long as it has.
