Seller Description

I am selling my 2001 M Coupe. It is 1 of 690 Coupes built with the S54 engine (same engine that is in the E46 M3 and Z4M's). While I hate to part with her, I do not drive the car much and I am making room in the garage for another project. The car is in excellent shape and people are always shocked that it is 10 years old.

The Coupe has 42,8XX miles on it. I bought it in 2007 with 39,XXX miles on it. It has always been kept in the garage and has never been to the track. I know a lot of people claim that and lie, but that is not the case here. I fully intended to track this car, but work has gotten in the way and the set of race wheels and tires has gone unused (may be thrown in as part of the deal).

The Coupe has many modifications. When I sold my STi to buy this coupe, I pulled off all of the modification I had made to that car and sold them separately. I would not dare dream of doing that with the Coupe as these modifications have made it even more fun to drive. One in particular - the subframe fix - is essential for any Coupe owner.

I have all of the records for this car, both from previous owners and myself.

The Mods:

Less than 500 miles of use:
* 18x8.5f, 18x10r Apex ARC-8 wheels in Anthracite
* 245/35/18f, 285/30/18r BFG KDW tires
* Ferodo Brake Pads f&r
* Stoptech slotted rotors

Less than 800 miles of use:
* TCK DA Coilovers
* Vorshalg Camber Plates front
* TCK Rear Upper Mounts
* UUC Front Control Arm Bushings & Mounts (FCAB)

Installed shortly after buying the car:
* Randy Forbes rear subframe fix ($3,000+ preventive maintenance)
* IE Subframe bushings
* IE Rear toe & camber adjusters (you can't adjust toe & camber on a stock Z3)
* Vorshlag Wheel Studs
* Sparco Harness Bar
* SS brake lines
* UUC Clutch Line
* UUC Tranny Mount
* Vorshlag Engine Mounts
* Alpine 6998 fold away deck
* Helix HXA-500 Amplifier
* IDQ-10 Subwoofer in custom molded box
* MB Quart Speakers
* Sport Mode Switch
* Oil Pressure Gauge
* Oil Temperature Gauge
* Water Temperature Gauge
* Recaro Sport Seats
* ATE Blue Brake fluid

Installed by previous owner:
* ACS Exhaust
* ACS front splitter
* Hamman rear diffuser
* Clearbra
* SS front strut brace
* Rear butt strut brace
* Brembo 332mm front BBK
* RD front swaybar

I also have a set of Roadstars which may be part of the deal. The tires have some life left in them.

I will also include the following spare parts:
* Set of spark plugs
* Complete oil change kit including filter, gaskets, and oil
* Additional set of oil filters and gaskets
* Set of belts
* Set of radiator hoses
* Miscellaneous BMW specific spare parts (interior fasteners, clips, etc.)
* Original estoril blue/black seats
* Rogue Engineering dual ear differential cover w/ gasket and fluid (have not had the time to install it)

For the right buyer and price, I might be convinced to include the 17" Team Dynamics Prod Race 1.2 wheels with RA-1 tires which have less than 50 miles of road break-in miles on them.

I know that S54 M Coupe prices vary from $25K-$32K depending on condition. Based on the low miles, excellent condition, and extensive enhancements, I am offering the car at $35,000. Looking at just the mods that are essentially brand new (less than 800 miles), there is over $4,800 invested. Add to that the $3,500 spent on Randy's kit and professional installation and you can see that this is a car that is ready to go on day 1 and well worth the offer price. The remaining mods are just icing on the cake. That said, I am willing to entertain serious offers, although I am in no rush to sell and can wait for the right buyer.

Thanks for looking.

My Comments

Sold 5/11/12 - Sale pending to Cameron. It's coming to Colorado!

4/30/12 Update - New price $30,000 with the wheels, $28,500 without them. Recaro seats no longer included. It's not a decent deal if you're one that appreciates the modifications (I do).

4/20/12 Update - Price reduced to $32,000 from $33,500

1/3/12 Update - Price reduced to $33,500 from $35,000

11/29/11 Update - Added some photos of the matching VIN tags.

This looks like a very well sorted coupe. He's done all the modifications I would recommend and some other nice ones. The ones that stick out most to me our the Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement, TCK DA Coilovers, Vorshlag camber plates, IE subframe bushings, IE rear toe & camber adjusters and strong strut braces. I think these only make a great car better. It appears to be in very nice condition too.
