Seller Description

I'm in the military and had picked this car up as a project a few years ago and I just dont have the time to continue it. The wifers wants to start having kids and I have to clean out the garage to make room for a family car. It had been in a front corner collision and has a salvage title. When initially purchased the frame was placed on a jig to ensure it was straight, and restoration began. The body is in perfect shape with the exception of a small bit of paint that chipped off right above the exhaust tips. There is 70,000 miles on the vehicle (original trans, engine, etc). I want anyone interested to come look at, inspect, and drive the vehicle thrououghtly so they can see it exactly as it is for themselves. I have no problem with test drives etc. Feel free to ask any questions, as I dont want to leave any thing out. Heres the basics:

The good:
BBS RKII 18" wheels
H&R coil overs on all 4 wheels
Super Sprint Stainless exhaust
K&N filter
Kenwood CD/Ipod player with Ipod hook up in the glove box
8000k HID projected head lamps with angel eyes (installed after these photos were taken)
Recently replaced ceramic brake pads on all 4 wheels
Fresh Fluids
Engine runs well

The Bad:
Salvage title (obviously)
Interior was taken out to fully rewire the entire car, and needs to be tightend up in good shape though
A/C needs a new evaporator core. The core in there has a crack, other than that the AC works
The wiring for the headlight switch needs to be checked, it turns the headlights on just fine, but the dash lights do not come on. the fuses are all good, its either the switch itself, or a disconnected wire somewhere in the circuit.
the windows down really slow, ive heard alot of coupes have this problem, but i havent messed with it
The transmission is a bit stiff, and grinds when shifting into 3rd at high RPMs, this is also another problem i've seen recurrent on this boards

The car is located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. I encourage anybody interested to come drive it and inspect it. I understand the car's condition and issues, but still would like a fair deal. As a side note, these pictures were taken right before i put the new headlights in, I'll get some updated pictures on here as soon as i can. I'm looking for 10k or best offer for the vehicle. if anybody would like additional info or pictures, feel free. I'm en route back to the states from afghanistan right now, so it might take me a day or so to get back to you, but I'll do it as soon as I get the email. Thanks!

My Comments

Sold 5/27/11 - Sounds like it sold. Congrats to the new owner.

4/21/11 Update - Added some more detail photos including the interior, engine bay, and repair area. The seller seems very honest and upfront about any problem areas.

This looks like it could be a good project for someone who knows what they're doing. The issues could be taken care of pretty easily by someone with M Coupe experience. The body looks to be in great shape now, and the modifications are nice. No photos or mention of the interior color, but I'm pretty sure it's solid black. I think the price is fair.
