My Comments

Sold 1/5/11 - Listing was taken down again. Maybe it sold this time?

12/31/10 Update - Miniscule price drop to $11,400 from $11,500

12/24/10 Update - I guess it wasn't sold. It's just been relisted on Craigslist with a couple new photos.

11/24/10 Update - Heard from John: "The salvage title was from a large front-end collision. It has the wrong steering wheel with no airbag so it has warning lights lit up."

11/23/10 Update - Relisted with a price drop to $11,500 from $13,000

11/19/10 Update - Craigslist ad was deleted so I assumed it had sold, but I heard it has not.

11/16/10 Update - Thanks to John I have a little more history on this coupe. It was original cosmos black but was in a major accident and repainted laguna seca blue. It does have a salvage title. The seller is asking $13,000. There are also a couple Bimmerforums threads linked above with some history. At least it looks quite a bit better than it used to.

Obviously a lot has been done cosmetically with this coupe. First, there were no Laguna Seca Blue S52 coupes so it's a full repaint. They also painted the wheels black and appear to have done the window frames in silver (which kind of makes me think it may have originally been arctic silver). They also have some Ebay aftermarket headlights. By comparison, the interior looks relatively stock. As always with full repaints, be wary of past accident history and search nooks and crannies to see how well it was done. He doesn't list a price, so I can't comment much on value. If you want both Laguna Seca Blue and an S52 engine, I'd guess this is probably your only option.
