There were less than 3,000 of these cars produced for the North American market. If you are not familiar with the M Coupe, do yourself a favor and look it up on the internet. It is a fantastic machine.
Condition
There are signs of wear and imperfections, but shockingly few for a vehicle of this vintage. It looks great. In fact since it is such a rare model, most people are surprised that is a 1999. There are no mechanical issues and everything works great (except the CD changer which I never bothered to fix having made the switch to mp3s). The car is completely stock except for a Dinan software upgrade.
183,000 Miles
For the last 5 years, I have averaged less than 10,000 miles a year. The previous owner used this car to commute between Phoenix and San Diego so the majority of this coupe’s use has been highway mileage. The average yearly mileage over the coupe’s life is about 15,000 miles a year which, while high for a rare model that tends to be admired in the garage instead of enjoyed on the road, is typical for a Southern California car.
Odds and ends that have recently been replaced
-New Michelin Pilot Sports
-Alternator
-Starter
-Gas shocks for hatch
