Seller Description

Car had just over 40K miles when I purchased in the summer of 2009. Since that time I have added all the aftermarket parts listed below. I even had Randy Forbes perform the S54 Connecting Rod Bearing Fix and install his Subframe reinforcement. Upgrades listed below add up to $30K. If you add that to a conservative value of the car in stock form of $23K the buy it now price is an $18K savings on the cost of the car as it sits.

I invite anyone that lives close enough to visit and drive the car. I promise it will pull stronger, feel tighter, and handle better than any Coupe available right now.

I would consider selling the car with the original brakes, wheels, and tires re-installed for $31K. This would still leave all the Randy Forbes upgrades, Dinan S3 components, bushings, clutch, flywheel, diff, etc. Please email or call if you would like to go that route.

Car has two small dings, a small less than quarter sized scrape (touched up) on the bumper, and light rock chips where these cars tend to get them; on the nose of the hood and the rear fender flare area. Interior is nearly new condition. I am a BMW enthusiast and the car reflects this.

Feel free to call if you have any questions (Marvin 615.714.7999)

My Comments

Sold 10/25/10 - Appears to have accepted a best offer of $29,000 which I think is a pretty good deal for the new owner. I'm not sure if that includes the wheels and brakes or not.

10/18/10 Update - Price lowered to $32,000 from $34,875 making it a pretty decent deal.

10/13/10 Update - This coupe got a very positive review from Michael who test drove it:

This past Sunday I drove the Estoril blue one in Franklin, TN. This guy is a BMW fanatic and has a no-nonsense coupe. It is perfect… and CRAZY fast. I agree that his asking price will take a while to get. But in his defense, this is a truely fantastic coupe. He absolutely spared no expense on the upgrades. If Marvin watches this site, I thank you for letting me check it over. Fantastic! and good luck.

10/7/10 Update - Back on Ebay with a buy-it-now of $34,875 and some new photos.

9/23/10 Update - Auction looks like it has ended. He did receive a high offer of $35,000 back in early September that I bet he now regrets declining.

9/23/10 Update - Price reduced again to $34,000 from $37,875. It's becoming a better deal to the person who will appreciate all these modifications.

9/2/10 Update - Price lowered to $37,875 from $39,875. The previous auction ended with a high offer of $30,000 which I think is pretty good.

8/28/10 Update - BimmerSteven on Bimmerforums can check it out for any long distance buyers as long as they give him dibs should they ever decide to resell it.

This is one of the more modified S54s I've ever come across. I have no doubt his modifications did add up to $35k+. I'm just not sure he'll see much of it back. All of his mods are high end and well chosen. Th eones that really catch my eye are the Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement, the 3.46 differential, the Brembo BBK, and the rod bearing replacement. He kind of did everything a coupe owner hopes to do over the life of his car. I have no doubt it's a well sorted car with Randy Forbes working on it personally. It's also a pretty rare color combination with only 15 being made. I noticed a few of his listed upgrades are not pictured including the LeatherZ armrest and clear front markers. I'm curious to see how it does as I haven't really seen anything comparable sell recently.
