Seller Description

I was expecting to keep the coupe forever and did my best to take meticulous care of it. But priorities change and it's time for someone else to enjoy it.

Very good to excellent condition
Clean title
No accidents
California car
Driven conservatively, mostly freeway miles
Treated with respect; never tracked or hooned

Notes:
To the best of my knowledge the only thing that doesn't work on the car is an intermittent clock.
Rear subframe inspected every 10k miles: no problems found.
Oil changes every 6-8k miles (mostly highway driving) with OEM filters and synthetic oil (either Mobil 1 or Total/Elf).
OEM or OEM+ parts always used.

Maintenance history:
Replaced spark plugs: NGK Iridium BKR6EIX 6418 (500 miles ago)

My Comments

Sold 9/30/10 - Sold for asking price - a fair deal on both sides.

9/18/10 Update - Here's an updated from the seller:

I had the car inspected at a highly rated independent BMW service shop. They found it to be in excellent shape except for the tires, which need to be replaced before driving anything more than locally, and a cracked spot weld on one of the differential mounts. It was only a small crack and the structure was still intact without any movement. I had them reweld that spot and all is good.

This coupe has higher mileage, but the seller has addressed every single issue I usually look for without exception. He has done the rear shock mounts, belts and pulleys, brakes, cooling system, VANOS, and some suspension and brake work. You can just buy it and drive it. The exterior looks to be in excellent condition. The only issue I noticed is some scuffs on the wheels and minor curb rash on the driver-side rear wheel. The interior also looks great besides the normal wear on the driver seat bolster. The price seems very fair for a well sorted and maintained coupe.
