Seller Description

After careful deliberation and a few long nights I have regretfully decided to post my beloved coupe for sale. Right now is just not the best time for me to have this car, and I am looking for a loving and caring new owner to take care of this car as well as I, and the previous owners have.

2000 M Coupe
Cosmos Black Metallic on Black interior
79,xxx and going miles.

The car has been a California car all its life. Originally sold in Beverly Hills and eventually moved up into the NorCal area. When I purchased the car back in February of this year I brought her down to Southern California. The car has been incredibly well maintained throughout its entire life. Everything is documented - down to mileage when mods were installed and services. I as well as the previous owners have been very thorough, and the car has proven to be nothing less than reliable all its life.

For the sake of full disclosure, two owners ago (in 2004) the car was involved in a parking lot rear end incident. The repair was minor, will not appear on carfax, as the owner ended up paying out of pocket for a new rear bumper and paint. The work was done at a quality repair shop in Northern California (B-Line) and is near impossible to detect. Both previous owners are BFC members, and are still on the boards.

Within the last 10,000 miles the car has gotten: New water pump, thermostat, replaced fuel filter, cabin filter, o2 sensors, all belts replaced, new tires, 4 wheel alignment, new brakes and fluids, I replaced the engine oil just yesterday, new oil in diff and transmission, replaced crank position sensor and installed glove box sag fix, seat incline kits have been installed, guibo and differential axle boots have been replaced as well.

The car received a new rear subframe and reinforcement from the BMW dealership at roughly ~40K miles. The rear subframe is in immaculate condition. It should not ever be a problem, which is a huge peace of mind for any prospective buyers.

The car does have a few mods, which I will list below:

Jim Conforti Cold Air Intake
TMS Conforti chip
AC Schnitzer exhaust
S54 M coupe oil cooler
M50 Manifold conversion with Eurosport adapter
UUC Lightweight Flywheel
E34 M5 clutch with Stainless Steel clutch line
TCKline True Match S/A coil-over
Vogtland Springs - 450lb (front)/600lb (rear)
Koni Yellow Externally Adjustable Shocks (rebound only)
Bunan RSM (Rear Shock Mounts) - much stronger than stock.
TCKline Camber/Caster Plates
Adjustable front sway bar end-links (Ground Control)
Sway bars (24mm front, 22mm rear)
KMAC eccentric rear trailing arm bushings (adjust camber/toe)
Ireland Engineering subframe bushings
Subframe diff mount reinforced by BMW
3.73 rear diff with M cover for added cooling (I do not have the stock diff but they are found easily)
Clear Corners
VDO Oil pressure gauge
Sony headunit and Ipod wiring in center console
Stock Roadstar wheels refinished in Gunmetal.
ZHP Shift knob (stock knob included)

I have all of the stock manifold and intake as well as various other parts that have been removed. The only piece I no longer have is the stock differential.

I believe I covered everything. The car has seen no track time, but two previous owners have done ~6-8 autoX events with the car. It was not launched and well driven - the transmission shifts incredibly smoothly, no lockout of any sort. The diff is immaculate since it was recently changed, no launches on it of any sort - the car was largely a garage queen. I intended to track the car but have no longer decided to use it for this purpose.

I would rate this car on the exterior in Very Good condition. The interior is even better. Very minimal bolster wear on the drivers seat and that is it. The car has new M floormats, no scratches or any annoying nuances. I have full faith that whomever purchases this car will enjoy it. It certainly will require no major maintenance for A LONG time to come. Everything necessary to tackle at this point has already been done.

My asking price for a well condition, S52 coupe in excellent condition is 19,999 OBO. I am relatively firm on this price, but for the right buyer am open to consideration of offers. I do not have any objection to shipping the car or you flying in to purchase the vehicle. You will have to arrange for the cost of shipping or gas and flight here to pick up the car. I will be more than happy to pick you up, of course. I have only one picture at the moment, please bear with me as my camera situation as of right now is rather bleak. I promise to have them up as soon as I am able to. I am sure Jon's site will link you to the previous sale listings for the car which have more than enough detailed pictures.

My Comments

Sold 7/7/12 - Sold!

7/3/12 Update - Price reduced to $18,800 from $19,999 which is pretty good for what you're getting.

This coupe has been passed around a few times lately, and it seems it gets a little better with each owner. It is in very good condition, had all necessary maintenance items done, and some very nice upgrades. Like the listing says, click on the previous listing for more photos. I think it's pretty well priced for what you will be getting.
